I always knew I wanted children. After getting married, my husband and I experienced 11 years of heartbreak. We had little money left after 9 in-vitros and 2 attempts with a surrogate. Then, with a great deal of fear and trepidation, we entered into the journey of adoption afraid that this might too end in failure.
My passion for designing jewelry began as a way to raise extra cash to help pay for the adoption. After finally adopting our little girl, helping others experience the pure joy that comes when a family is born through adoption became a powerful driving force in my life. Being a spiritual person, I've always believed that each life has a purpose and mine has always been tied to wanting to help make a difference in the lives of others. The passion that I found has now become my purpose.
I found my cause with www.helpusadopt.org and a portion of each sale goes to this great organization. Becky Fawcett, co-founder of Helpusadopt.org, and I designed a bracelet together to raise awareness and create grants. 100% of the proceeds of the bracelet will go toward bringing families together.
Each night when I tuck in my little angel, I give thanks to the miracles in my life. Most of all, I am thankful that my work can help others receive the joy and peace that my husband and I share together everyday.
