OPIOIDS: FIGHT AGAINST THE EPIDEMIC
Our Nation is in crisis. With overdose deaths still on the rise, we are losing 174 people a day; 1 in 4 teens report that they have misused or abused a prescription drug at least once, and 1,756 are using drugs for the first time each day. Our work as resource providers is more important now than ever.
The Partnership for Drug-Free Kids is committed to helping families struggling with their son or daughters's substance use. They empower families with information, tools and support to get the help their loved one needs and deserves. We provide parents with one-on-one support through our Parent Helpline (1-855-DRUGFREE), online live chat services and nationwide network of volunteer parent coaches. On our website, drug free.org, parents can find resources and information to help them address substance use. Finally, we advocate for greater understanding and more effective programs to treat the disease of addiction.
The artist has dedicated this bracelet to all struggling with addiction, applauding them with personal courage to overcome challenges. Dedicating this to the ones we lost and to the ones we'll save through our combined efforts. Cox chose blue agate to symbolize encouragement and support, it carries healing properties with yin/yang, between positive and negative. Clear crystal is the master of all healing. The charm represents HOPE.
